‘Login with your Microsoft 365 Business Account’ message

If you are trying to use the ‘Open in Word Online’ button in Simul and receiving a message that says ‘You need to login with your Microsoft 365 Business Account’ then you will need to login with an account that is part of a Microsoft 365 business plan.

This is because, as part of our integration with Microsoft Word, Microsoft considers Simul a business tool and therefore requires anybody using the integration to have a 365 business account and not a personal one.

So you essentially have two options:

• Acquire and/or login with a Microsoft 365 business account
• Use the standard ‘Open in Word’ button which opens your documents in the Word application on your computer
